Avoid a Trip to the

Attic with Blocking

Buckle Down is a retrofit roofing cleat designed to stabilize aging roof decks—from the top side of the roof without blocking or sheet replacement.

Plywood from the 1970’s to early 2000’s has been very susceptible to independent seam movement, especially without “H” clips. Buckle Down shores up these problem seams and creates a flat and stable surface for the installation of new roofing materials

Installation is
Simple by Design

That’s it.

✔ Faster installs on walkable roofs

✔ They easily fit in your tool pouch

✔ Safe, controlled installs on steeper pitches

✔ Minimal crew training

Buckle Down solves these roofing deck issues with minimal tools

What you need:

✔ We use any standard circular saw to widen the seam spacing to accept the cleat

✔ An impact or standard drill with a #2 square drive

✔ 1 cleat and 2-3 Screws per problem area

✔ Cleats are sold in job packs of 25 with included screws We’ve found that the average house that needs them uses 20-25 Buckle Down Cleats

It’s automatic, when the paper is torn off we all grab a handful of screws and cleats and start repairing.

Roof buckles have always been a challenge for my crew to address. What’s OK and what we repair. We want to deliver the best roof within a reasonable budget. We ‘ve been very critical of Buckledown and its development. We’ve tested it on actual roofs and found out how well it works.
