Buckle Down roofing cleat designed to reinforce compromised roof decking seams and provide secure support during metal roofing installation and repair
Example of damaged roof decking seam and repair context where Buckle Down roofing cleats are used to reinforce weak areas during metal roof installation

“We don’t prioritize what we have time to fix, we can fix all of it now.”

Buckle Down was developed to solve a real contractor issue: Good plywood that has deflection at the seams. Many homes fall into the gap with decent roof sheathing, but didn’t use standard roof “H” clips common in new construction. Buckle Down fills that void making a marginal leak prone deck to one that is secure and supported.

BEFORE & AFTER
Actual Roof Application

Buckle Down roofing cleat positioned over a roof decking seam to reinforce weak plywood joints before metal roof installation

The plywood seam on the roof shows a 1/4” deflection or buckle, the plywood is not compromised but will telegraph through the finished roof

By widening the seam with our circular saw we’ve made a kerf for buckle down roof cleat. We insert the roof cleat so the hidden side shores up the low sheet. Place screws in holes to secure it.
